1. Information We Collect

Account Information

Account information applies only when you use an available account feature in Probe, Netmap, or Runbook. Projector Remote and Smart TV Remote are accountless. When you create a CEC account, we collect:

• Email address
• Name (optional)
• Sign-in information processed by AWS authentication services and session information used to keep you signed in

Usage Data

Information from online services and the website depends on the features you use and your analytics choice. The following does not describe collection by the current accountless remote apps:

• Technical request information needed by online services, such as IP addresses, request times, and error details
• Current app diagnostic events stay local or are disabled; that component does not send them to remote analytics
• Operating-system and app-store diagnostics are separate and depend on their own settings
• Marketing-site analytics: public pages use Google Analytics only after you accept analytics in the website footer. It measures page views, referral source, browser/device category, approximate geography, and interactions. Google signals and ad personalization are disabled. Reject analytics or withdraw your choice through Analytics preferences in the footer. We store your choice in this browser for this website; clearing browser storage resets it. Withdrawal stops future analytics here, but does not delete data already sent to Google.

Application Data

Depending on the product and available features you use, application data can include the following. Working with data locally does not by itself send it to CEC; cloud processing applies only when you use an available account-connected feature:

• Probe: API requests you create and execute, including request history and responses
• Netmap: Network topology diagrams and configurations you create
• Runbook: The current app provides account-related and status screens; it does not create or upload instructions, photos, or recordings

Projector Remote and Smart TV Remote

The current versions work without a CEC account or connection to CEC servers. They provide appearance settings and local application-status information. They do not discover or control projectors or televisions, store device passwords or network addresses, or upload household information. Appearance preferences are handled on your device.

These versions do not include advertising or purchasing flows. This describes the current versions, not a promise that future versions will have the same features or data practices. Visiting our website or contacting support is separate from using the remote apps: website analytics follows your choice, and we receive the information you choose to send us.

2. How We Use Your Information

Where we receive information through a feature you use, a website visit, or a communication with us, we use it for the applicable purposes below. These purposes do not mean that the accountless remote apps send us data:

• Provide, maintain, and improve our Services
• Process transactions and send related information when you make a purchase
• Send technical notices, updates, and security alerts
• Respond to your comments, questions, and customer service requests
• Monitor and analyze usage patterns to improve user experience
• Detect, prevent, and address technical issues and security threats
• Comply with legal obligations

3. Data Storage and Security

Local preferences remain subject to your device and backup settings. Clearing this website’s browser storage removes its saved analytics choice. Google Analytics is configured for 2-month event-data retention and 14-month user-data retention, with the user period reset by new activity; these settings do not cover all aggregated reports or browser cookies.

AWS provides website delivery and, where enabled, authentication and account-connected services. Local remote-app preferences are not uploaded to AWS. Security depends on the particular data flow:

• This public website is delivered over HTTPS
• Available online account features use AWS authentication and session controls
• Requests you send through Probe go to the destinations you select; their transport and information handling may differ from ours
• No transmission or storage system can guarantee complete security; avoid sending sensitive information to destinations you do not trust

For personal information we hold, retention depends on the service or request involved, whether the information is still needed to provide that service or handle the request, and applicable legal obligations. Local data, copies you export, and backups can have separate lifetimes. Projector Remote and Smart TV Remote have no CEC account to delete; their local preferences are separate from information you send to support.

4. Data Sharing and Disclosure

The providers below process information for the services you use. This does not mean that we receive or share local remote-app preferences. Other disclosures may be necessary in the circumstances listed:

• Service Providers: AWS delivers the website and processes technical web-request information, including IP addresses. It also supplies authentication and account-connected services where enabled. Google processes optional website analytics and provides the email service for privacy@camacho.engineering.
• Legal Requirements: When required by law, legal process, or government request
• Safety: To protect the rights, property, or safety of CEC, our users, or the public
• Business Transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets

5. Your Rights and Choices

If you contact us, we receive the contact details, message, and attachments you choose to send and use them to handle your request. Tell us which app is involved; do not send passwords, access tokens, device credentials, or unnecessary personal information. You can ask what information we hold and which retention or deletion exceptions apply. This contact route is not an automatic account-deletion or guaranteed export feature.

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights:

• Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
• Correction: Request correction of inaccurate personal data
• Deletion: Request deletion of your personal data
• Portability: Request a copy of your data in a portable format
• Opt-out: Opt out of marketing communications at any time
• Analytics controls: Use Analytics preferences in the website footer to accept or reject optional website analytics. You can withdraw acceptance there at any time.

6. International Data Transfers

Information sent to AWS, Google, or services you choose may be processed outside your country, including in the United States. This concerns information sent to those services, not preferences kept locally by Projector Remote or Smart TV Remote.

7. Children's Privacy

Probe, Netmap, and Runbook accounts are for people aged 13 and older. The two accountless remote apps do not collect account information. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us inappropriately, contact privacy@camacho.engineering so we can review and address the request.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Services after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
